Members of Lysaght Credit Union are advised that the 53rd Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held this year.

Nomination for Directors of the Lysaght Credit Union

Nominations for the position of director of Lysaght Credit Union are now open.

Nominations must be received at the credit union main office (13 Auburn St Wollongong) on or before 4.00pm 30th June 2020.

Any member interested in nominating for the position of director may collect a nomination pack from the credit union main office during business hours, by contacting the credit union on 0242 265 900 or by emailing a request to “enquiries@lysaghtcu.com.au”

The nomination forms need to be completed in full and returned to the crdit union prior to the closing date, along with an up-to-date resume, a recent Police check, a recent criminal history check a bankruptcy check and ability to pass the APRA BEAR criteria.

To be eligible to be a director you must pass “fit and proper” criteria. The credit union may request permission to conduct more checks as part of its “fit and proper” assessment.

To be a Director you must:

• Be a current member of LCU;
• Have never been convicted of an offence involving dishonest conduct;
• Have never had a civil penalty order made against you;
• Not be an undischarged bankrupt (i.e. an insolvent under administration);
• Have appropriate skills to perform the duties of a Company Director; and
• Be familiar with the requirements of the Constitution and Corporations Law.
• Meet the “fit and proper” criteria as per the Australian Prudential Regulatory Authority guidelines
